Well, today's the day. I'm going to start stitching the Blackbird Designs stocking series! I'm starting with one of the December stockings (naturally) which will be sent to my friend Sherry for a Christmas ornament exchange we're doing.
I've decided to stitch this from my stash, so I'm using some 18 count Fiddler's light Aida fabric with DMC floss. I'm planning on using the same fabric on the back so that I can sign and date the ornament, and then I've got a ball of twine that I'll use for the hanger.
I plan to stitch the entire series for myself, too, starting with December. I think that they will be a beautiful addition to my seasonal decorating in the years to come.
